Welcome to the 20's

Welcome to the 20's...

Hello, and welcome to the 20's!! No, not the 1920's, although their fashion statements were to die for. Welcome to the 2020's (a bit late but hey, the last 2 years barely count with how unpredictable they've been), and more appropriately welcome to my 20's! My name is Savannah, a big hello and warm welcome to my new 2022 project; Tackling the 20's. I'm embarking on a journey through the big wide world of my 20's, sharing the in's and outs, the high's and lows, the good and the bad, of what life as a
This is me!

 twenty-something year old is like, and I'm hoping you'll come along for   the ride!

 Whether you're also trying to navigate through your 20's, you're not quite there and want a sneak peak into what you might be in for in a few years, or you've come out the other side and you want to pass some wisdom onto those embarking on the journey through their 20's, everyone is welcome here!

Toto the pooch and
Scooby the cat
 A bit of a double whammy with the name too, tackling the 20's personally represents me, a 20 year old gal, trying to figure out what the heck I'm doing with my life and what's next for me. However, we are in fact pretty much at the beginning of a decade of 20's, with another 8 years of 20's to go. So, don't fret if you're not trying to navigate your 20's and you've stumbled across my blog. Please still stick around, and we can all navigate what has been an absolutely unpredictable start to a new decade. and hopefully carry each other out the other side, no matter our age!

Since this is a "welcome to the 20's" blog post, I guess I should introduce
myself properly and give you a bit of info about me. I'm a 20 year old girl, living down under, currently absolutely soaking up the few sweltering days we are being blessed with this summer. I'm studying mechanical engineering at university, and work part time as a food and beverage attendant at a local pub.
Barney the Bull Terrier
I'm into all things healthy eating and fitness, and love doing Muay Thai Boxing classes in my spare time. I live out of home at the moment, but am always visiting, especially to see my cutie pie of a puppy called Toto (yep, like from the Wizard of Oz) and little rascal feline called Scooby (yes, like Scoobert Doo, yes from the Scooby Doo movies, yes my Scooby is a cat not a dog :')) I live with my boyfriend of 2 years, and he has a beautiful English Bull Terrier called Barney. I'm surrounded by soooo many gorgeous animals, peep some piccies of them to your right😇

So, what the heck are you going to make a whole blog post out of every week I hear you ask?
Well, it seems that life in your 20's can be extremely chaotic (who would've thought), and so in turn, this blog is likely to be somewhat chaotic, but (hopefully) in a good way! Each week will be something different based on what is going on in my life at the time, and will aim to give you guys some reassurance, advice, laughs, or just someone to relate to when you feel like no one could possibly be experiencing the same things you are.
Unfortunately, I have been dealt the dreaded gut health issues card, and have been working through a treatment plan for SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), so for all my digestively challenged friends, I've got plans for lots and lots of FODMAP/SIBO friendly content to help too.

And so, with my first ever blog post about navigating my 20's, I hope you will follow me on this journey of laughs (and most likely tears), and I leave you with this final thought;

"Life will never feel like it's 'supposed to'...If we're always trying to live like we're 'supposed to', we're never going to actually Live." - Paul Angone
